Hi, I’m Kate — I fix hard problems, usually involving technology, data, and people. I liked the em-dash before AI existed.
Over a decade spanning government, defence, and applied research, I’ve built a reputation as the person colleagues reach for when nobody else can solve it. I combine serious technical depth — SQL, R, Python, Bayesian modelling, interactive dashboards — with an instinct for translating rigorous analysis into decisions that actually stick. I make complex things interpretable, and I bring teams along for the ride.
I’m currently an Adjunct Associate Fellow at the Future of Work Institute, Curtin University, and am open to part-time work on complex projects. I’m also building a small data and research consulting practice. PhD in Cognitive Science, 13 peer-reviewed publications, h-index 10, $3.2M+ in competitive funding.
